The Boogie Woogie Trio
Three fantastic pianist has made a big contribution for popularizing boogie woogie in the beginning: Albert Ammons, Pete Johnson and Meade Lux Lewis. On the video you can see a duo of Ammons and Johnson. They recorded it in 1941, but it was published only in 1944. In their composition we can hear that they complement each other very well, they had perfect technic and you can clearly see the joy of playing music on their faces.
The two fenomenal pianist has played often with Meade Lux Lewis in the Café Society Club, in New York. The trio made a concert together in the famous Carnegie Hall, which launched the boogie woogie craze.
